Square Foot Garden

Lucas and Emma came home from Lowes last week with all of their lumber, soil and seeds to plant their square foot garden. We've been talking about planting a garden for the past 2 years....hopefully this low maintenance garden will be a good start for their father/daughter project.

Lucas built a 4 x 4 frame and placed it on a tarp on the deck. Then they filled it with 6-8 inches of a mixture of 1/3 compost, 1/3 peat moss and 1/3 vermiculite.
